HOME Children's Ministries
Our mission is to supplement the family in winning children to Jesus Christ, establishing them in their faith, and training them for ministry to the world and leadership in the church.
Our purpose is to enable children to grow to be "complete in Christ," Colossians 1:28, walking as Jesus walked. With this goal, we strive to provide a safe and loving environment where children, from infancy through 6th grade:
- Find and love God;
- Explore his Word (the Bible);
- Discover their own God-given uniqueness;
- Apply Biblical truth to life experiences;
- Build relationships within the church family;
- Are trained for age-appropriate ministry and leadership.

Our Sunday morning Children's Programs:
Infant, and 2/3 nurseries are available during each Sunday morning worship service.
Sunday School is offered at 9:00am. Sunday School is a vital component to explore the Bible deeper in smaller class size settings. Children are able to experience the truth through different models of learning so that children can discover for themselves the reasons to accept and be changed by the truth. Fifth and Sixth Grade students experience the truth of God's Word through topical studies to prepare them for life as a "tween". No Sunday School during the summer!
Real Life is offered during the summer during the 9:00 and 10:45am services for children age 4 through 6th Grade. In Real Life, children come to us shortly after the worship service has started and are greeted by their table leaders for each grade level. We love that there is modeling by families of worshipping together, and then supplementing the family by age-appropriate worship and teaching. We focus on worship, then explore the same Bible Point and scripture as the Sunday School classes will. We use drama, hands-on activities, object lessons, games and relational guidance through questions designed to help children be changed through Christ in their real lives.
We have additional opportunities to connect with their Christian peers, and to bring family and friends. There's Vacation Bible Camp, a fall event like Heroes Unmasked, a Christmas gift making event, the Children's Christmas program, Family Holy Week service, and others throughout the year.
Recognizing the high value of memorizing Scripture when we are young, we started a Bible Memorization program called Truth Training. Each quarter a child receives a book using the verses we study each week. They can memorize them at home and say them to a family member along with the verse meaning, and then come back and say them to our staff. They receive rewards, "Bible Bucks" that can be redeemed for prizes.
